Using clay as a primary element for grounding ourselves and honouring the memory linked to our hands. Exploring tactility, shaping different textures and possibilities.
I find clay to be such a noble material. It comes from the soil and it is found everywhere around the world. I enjoy working with clay with many different age groups and communities and it is always such an enjoyable experience.
On these sessions in particular, where I worked with young refugees and young careers, we went out foraging for natural elements in local parks to then interact with the clay and made different games, exploring ideas of home, wellbeing and community.
