Studies for Self Knowledge is an exploration within ourselves and our own bodies. Through sensorial exercises we evoke memories feelings and emotions. We work slowly, from the inside to the outside, trying to recognise how we perceive our physical and spiritual body and how we inhabit it. We also explore the relationship with others trough simple movements, since when we understand how we approach that relationship we also understand ourselves better.

This first edition happened in Manchester, UK. Participants prepared themselves by eating nourishing food and drinking water during the previous days of the workshop. They also brought a personal object to give away as a present.

The workshop took place at Islington Mill Gallery Space and it was part of Beacons programme, supported by Arts Council England and curated by Rebecca Halliwell Sutton
